Open Buddy Bass Tournaments

Iowa Bass Anglers hosts five open bass fishing tournaments each year on three of Iowa's finest lakes. These are "buddy" tournaments in which 2-person teams compete against all other teams for heaviest limit, Big Bass, and Calcutta.

The fishing is great, the competition is friendly, and the pay outs are big.

APRIL 25 -----OPEN AT THREE MILE

MAY 22 ----- OPEN AT SPIRIT LAKE

MAY 23 ----- OPEN AT OKOBOJI

JUNE 27 ----- OPEN AT BRUSHY

AUG 29 ----- OPEN AT THREE MILE

SEPT 26 ------ OPEN AT TWELVE MILE

Registration:

Pre-registration will be accepted through Monday prior to tournament date.

Last minute entries will be accepted starting 2 hours before blast-off of each tournament (cash only).

Blast-off will be drawn from pre-registered entries.

Entry Fees:

Entry Fee: $70 Per Boat ($80 day of tournament, cash only)
Big Bass (optional): $10 Per Boat (100% Pay Back)
Calcutta (optional): $20 Per Boat (90% Pay Back, 1st and 2nd Place)

Pay Outs:

(Based on a 50-boat field)

1st Place = $1,443.75

2nd Place = $656.25

3rd Place = $393.75

4th Place = $131.25
